Detailed Trekking Itinerary
Day 1: Cusco – Km 82 – Wayllabamba
Stats: 11km | 6 Hours | Moderate
Your adventure begins at 5:30 AM with a private transfer to Kilometer 82 (Piscacucho). After crossing the Vilcanota River, we enjoy views of the Huillca Raccay fortress and the snow-capped Veronica peak. Night at Wayllabamba campsite.
Day 2: The Challenge – Dead Woman's Pass
Stats: 16km | 9 Hours | Challenging
We conquer the highest point of the trail: Warmihuañusca (Dead Woman's Pass) at 4,200m (13,779ft). The reward is an incredible sense of achievement and a descent into the lush Pacaymayu valley.
Day 3: Phuyupatamarca – Wiñay Wayna
Stats: 10km | 5 Hours | Moderate
Widely considered the most beautiful day. We visit the "Town in the Clouds" (Phuyupatamarca) and descend through 3,000 Inca stairs into the cloud forest to reach the spectacular Wiñay Wayna ruins.
Day 4: Machu Picchu Sunrise & Guided Tour
Stats: 8.9km | Arrival at Sunrise
A 4:00 AM start brings us to Inti Punku (The Sun Gate) by 6:00 AM for the first glimpse of the Machu Picchu Citadel. Includes a professional guided tour and optional hikes to Huayna Picchu (subject to availability).
